I don’t see why you can’t just crochet a chain of pretty ribbon and layer them!

It’s on sale! Lovely dress.
I made this necklace out of a shirt that was destined for the Goodwill! Super easy and fun project that involves cutting strips of a shirt, pulling the strips so they curl, and gathering them into a necklace. No sewing! Read the instructions here.
I made this headband inspired by Urban Outfitters’ Twine Knot Headwrap. The rope and elastic I bought from a fabric store cost about $3.50, but I’m sure it would not be difficult to find cheaper materials. I unfortunately ran a bit short on rope and would recommend buying 5-6 yards if you would like a thicker headband like the original Urban Outfitters version. Creating the knot is fairly easy following the picture, but to finish it, I wrapped scotch tape around the cut ends, sewed a piece of elastic to the two taped ends, and covered the tape with two bits of an old white t-shirt.
I whipped up this seed stitch headwrap in about 45 minutes tonight with some leftover yarn, while streaming Toy Story 3 on Netflix, while my boyfriend played Angry Birds on my phone. The unique thing about this headwrap is the twisted band. Here’s the pattern.
I think I’ll make this with the skein of alpaca yarn my mom gave me! Very simple pattern.
